What if I don’t know what sort of project will suit my team or organisation?
Our Project Manager will work with you to fully understand your needs. They will outline the different types of project available and how they align to your requirements

What if I have a team that isn’t very practical?
Again, the fit of the project to the team is key to the programme being a success. This will be one of the key considerations for our Project Manager in the sourcing stage. Saying this, it often comes as a great surprise to most teams how much hidden talent they have within their ranks. And if a project needs particular expertise, then ATD will provide technical specialists.

How long should the whole process take?
From our experience, it is worth planning on a minimum of 4 months from initial conversation to programme delivery. Firstly, this guarantees that the sourcing process has been extensive enough to find the most suitable project. It also allows for the appropriate level of project planning and preparation to ensure that when your team steps on site, everything is ready to go!

Can we do a project anywhere in the UK?
You can do a project anyway in the UK and, to some extent, anywhere in the world. In the UK, we have an established relationship with the volunteer network. Once you have indicated your geographical criteria, we will initiate a project source in that particular area.
.........................................................................................................
Who will be running the event?
The ATD staff are all experienced project managers, facilitators and development trainers. They have significant experience of organising, running and delivering real projects in the UK and overseas. Depending on your requirements the facilitation can extend from simple reviews to purpose designed development centres.
.........................................................................................................
How long can an event last?
That is wholly dependent on your needs. We have delivered programmes that were a half day long as part of a conference, through to an 8 day project in Africa.

Who are Across the Divide?
Across the Divide CSR Projects is an arm of Across the Divide Expeditions, the leading charity event provider.
.........................................................................................................
What is Across the Divide's track record?
Across the Divide Expeditions organise and deliver expeditions and events around the globe to help raise money for charities and worthwhile causes. Charities always require much needed funds and a proven method of fundraising is through the use of challenge events. Whether it is renovating a school in Namibia, trekking in Machu Picchu, rafting in Costa Rica or dog sledding in the Arctic Circle, fundraisers will be willing to raise money in exchange for experiencing one of these fantastic events. Over the past 11 years, we have worked with over 200 charities to run over 350 events in over 45 countries and so far we have helped raise £30 million for good causes.
