The inaugural Metro Life Hike was a huge success and Maggie’s and Open House would like to thank everyone who took part in the first event of its kind. 900 hikers arrived at the Guildhall to start the event.
Across the Divide Projects has been working with the MS Society and its corporate supporters to develop a portfolio of charity hikes, catering for both young and old, to raise not much needed funds but also to spread awareness of the Society's work.

BBC 1 Blue Peter today 16.35 (wed 6th May)
Today is the day that Blue Peter is showing a programme all about the Namibia 24 hour Ultra Marathon. Blue Peter presenter, Helen Skelton, took part in the race and came a very impressive 8th in a field of over 20 runners with only 12 finishing. The programme was featured in last weekend's Sunday Times as the Critics' Choice.
